Final show (SKETCHES) continuation
LANDSCAPE PAINTINGS
Landscape paintings with a musical twist. In my major project I have created a series of landscape paintings based on my experiences of growing up as a teenager that also reference specific songs that inspired
each work which was relevant to my experience at the time. Picturing my idea, I would create sketches which would add to my initial process. Each painting will link to a song that was relevant to my experience at the time. The song
or part of the lyric will act as the title of each painting. In each painting are several
references of mood I felt when I was at those places. Based on good observation and imagination I create my amazing pieces of paintings. Furthermore, my songs would really
bring out an effect on this painting as they were the songs I did listen to those days.
Sketches
JADED
This was a place in Nigeria where it is peaceful was finally able to connect to my inner self because most times parents always make children stay home and children would not get the opportunity to go out. The opportunity to finally be free.
A time to let loose, to its place of habitat to fly almost high.
The song connection to what I was facing through when I was a young teenager trying to have some god time when I was home. This was because most times I was always a border in secondary school with no much free time.
Chandelier
This were my days in seaschool, were had a military training and I had to do training by waking up very early and jogging around the whole island as we give response to the captain who says "we" we respond saying "waa"
There most times there were no lights and all that was helping me to move forward was the song chandelier as the captain once said (123) 2ce
It was a nice experience indeed but most times really it was a tough one, because that was the first time even if I do know how to swim. It was my first experience swimming in the ocean.
Frozen
It was a time of dew when the fog when the fog was yet to set
Up in the midst a mountain the largest in fact
indeed, we thought we'd climb up
Then we realized it was just about the largest in Africa
The experience I did have
Was just about the time the movie frozen came by
An icey cold feeling
We have discussed the homework for final show extensively during the tutorial, but it seems you still are not working on this. Why have you included the sketches of your project in this blog post?
