Art Portfolio (The Third Painting)

THE THIRD PAINTING

In my third painting I wanted to give an idea of how the world grows in bits. My definition of bits will be to say Little Things that have become big things so we said as the world is changing the world will the world develop into a new place where the future lies.

Generally, was just an idea that briefly came into my head as I thought, why draw the Earth so I thought let's draw Something different I wanted to create the impression of having a Galaxy but in between there is a live source so I made my Earth to be blue and the skies around it where white.

In my first step I tried using a different form of painting which was applying watercolour. This was a research by made on Anslem Kiefer. How do we made use of photography I decided to make use of watercolour as a different Media of painting so I applied what a colour as a wash to give the sky a blue effect and used my acrylic to blend in in giving it a dark feature as the sky Rises.

As I went along I saw that it could be possible for me to make a mountain figure but I was thinking why not make the world why not bring the whole impact as I applied water colour again. This time it was green to give that greenish effect of the world.

I was overwhelmed how this technique could work because it was quite appealing

As it seemed incomplete I decided to drop out every little green area to form a circle. I then made use of blue colour to blend in the sky with the globe.

Thinking of how I wanted this to be I decided to add a little bit of of of black into it and when on with my blue pigment rubbing on the surface which the circle was having I was creating a shade of blue to give it a a little bit of diversity which made it to appear as if it were floating.

Finally I made little tree to give a symbolism effect. Blending it's also kind of my idea because I wanted it to look really realistic as it were to be compared with a real globe. This tree grew on the top of the Earth surface showing that there is a life source then I moved on to create in clouds and give it a moon effects which is symbolic to all of my other paintings as the moon will look more dreamy in different styles.
(THE GROWING SEED)

I finally came up with a name for the art piece as it seemed almost difficult to put this together i named it (THE GROWING SEED). It shows how there is still hope that the world would become a better place for humans to be once again to feel free to move around.

I arranged my paintings accordingly and then saw each one of them have a link to each one. It's almost seemed on real because when I line them up they form a pattern which is quite shocking. At the end of all my project I will take a group picture to make them look iconic.

  1. This post, alongside some of your earlier posts talking about your process, is a big improvement and shows how much you have thought about the techniques this term. It would be interesting to see you use other materials combined with the paint as in the work of Kiefer, but combining the watercolour with acrylic is a step in the right direction. As we discussed in out last tutorial it would be good to see further posts that include your development sketches.
