Ged Quinn
As of photography, Ged Quinn was once an artist who concentrated on taking photographs in his early career, this was a long time ago before he met an epiphany who led him to eventually go into painting (Artsy.net. 2020). He moved on with landscapes as he began to unravel and express his fascinations with history recreating landscapes. In this work shows a collab of how he uses oil paint to bring out both photography and painting to bring out a beautiful artwork. He once again deals with a wash technique, which is is very iconic as he makes graphical details on the trees as well as that of the rocks that appear further down. GED Quinn is an artist deals on has he begins to link up stories together to historical events. His fascination with history is quite amusing because he makes his works with a lot of references as well as images drawn from art history, he defines mythology philosophy and even his own imagination is brought upon each his works (Ged Quinn - 30 Artworks, Bio & Shows on Artsy, 2020).
Similar to my furistic paintings I I have been using imagination to create what is occurring in history. Giving an idea of a range of research and images from a lot of artists.

In this painting Ged Quinn creates an interesting piece as a way of how he understands the ideas that become altered by time (Artsy.net. 2020). The medium used as been able to effectively capture the motion of the society. He has given texture to the tree with scribbling lines to give detail to deeper ends which remain. Also he also make a good perspective decision as there is a road that gives a foreshortening effect. He makes this possible by using lighter tones towards the viewers eyes which lays the foreground, while going into it appears deeper with a tint of blue wash to make the object appear further. Indeed he has captured the real picture in his imagination as it really appeared detailed with little tiny trees that appear far off. Giving a rainy effect with light white brush strokes which concludes the dreamy impression.

Based on what you have looked at here, would it be possible to edit this post and add some reflection on how Quinn's work has influenced what you are doing, again in terms of mixed media? although Quinn used oil in his work, he gives the IMPRESSION that he is using other media through manipulation of different surfaces and in the case of Bela Forgets the Scissors, breaking up the idea of painting by introducing flat images over the top of his landscape image - images with no space backed by an image with a lot of depth.
