Art Portfolio (Further reserch)
In my further research I came across Pieter Brugel:
PIETER BRUEGEL:
Pieteris one of the most recognised renaisance artist. He was known for hislandscapes and peasant secenes. In his portraits he makes use of mostly light strokes a shading technique known as smudging and scumbling. Only towards the ending of his training after a decade he switched over to painting.
Just as his drawings were very tender and gentle, his paintingswere known to be famous around the world. As he was known to be the first generation of artists to grow up when relgious subjects had ceased to be the natural subject matter of painting. (BRUEGEL, P., 2020).
Bruegel, captures the climax, as he uses the pair of legs poking out from the sea on the foreground of the painting (Ionita, S., 2020).
Furthermore, i researched on David Hockeny an interesting artist who also pays attention to details.

Landscape with the Fall of Icarus (1558)
A mythological tale, about how Icarus and his father Daedalus planned to run Crete, and in order to escape, they formulated a plan that involved constructing homemade wings out of feathers and wax. Yet Daedalus warns Icarus that the wings he created are not durable if he flies too close to the sun. Ignoring his father’s words, Icarus does, indeed, end up in danger as his wings quickly begin to melt away, sending him plummeting into the sea below.Bruegel, captures the climax, as he uses the pair of legs poking out from the sea on the foreground of the painting (Ionita, S., 2020).

David Hockney

In my research started with David Hockney. He is a British painter, who is seen and recognized as one the most influential artist of the 20th century by the British royal Academy of arts.
Examples of his well detailed paintings woud be that of "The early blossom, woodgate"
In his paintings he deals with depths as he works on both canvas and on iPad, bringing out a true view of nature. He also makes use of light strokes of painting which give the rocks and grounds some kind of texture which is really interesting, because it helps in creating magnificent details which a realistic.
His contemporary works are quite defined as they show true depts, of which he made with both an iPad and canvas painting

ReplyDeleteThere are two Pieter Breughels - the one you have featured is the Elder - you should know this as you have researched him!
You need to go into more analysis about each painting - think about how it is made (techniques and processes/materials) why they were making it, where it was exhibited (there are multiple sources online), the era (time period) it was made in and what that might mean.
Please don't cut and paste from here into your essay - the writing here isn't good enough for the essay and you are plagiarising yourself - we can only assess your work once!
You should also spread your research over several posts - Hockney should be a single post, as should Breughel. Also look at the artists we discussed in our tutorial and in the class last week - Hieronymous Bosch and Ged Quinn - single posts on their works that are relevant to your project too, please.
