Art Portfolio 2(term 2)
CONTEXTUAL RESEARCH
To begin, I know that out there you are all living in the age of worries the end days.I am going to look at Art as a source of light. A light to guide you out of the dreadfull thoughts the are unraveling in our heads. In my research on how on how artists have been able to portray their true identity an pick out the light from their imaginative and construtive heads. Firstly I would love to talk about VINCENT VAN GOGH . Here are so few paintings of his works.
Van Gogh painted this to make people know that “They are endless wheat fields under a cloudy sky, and I have not hesitated to attempt to express sadness and the deepest loneliness” Vincent van Gogh, (1890)
In the wheat fields, by Van Gogh, under the conditions of this atmosphere, he shows his favorite subjects the moments of his life (Van Gogh, 1890). In addition, the painting has shown a significant role for the crows which appear in the painting, as they appear ridiculously tiny. According to Van Gogh, (1890), he created this bird like structures with vigorous strokes. Also, there there has been use of little brush strokes.

VAN GOGH
Vincent is known to be a sick man who was hospitalised in May 1890 the mental hospital in Saint-Rémy for his crazy life. Despite all that he was able continue with both his drawings and paintings as well as other art works.
Vincent threw himself entirely into his painting in this period, completing virtually a work a day. His health seemed to be improving, too.

When writing a welcome, it would be good to outline more clearly what you are intending to do this term (it's Term 3, by the way). You have used the same text on van Gogh you used last term in your Contextual Studies essay (or closely paraphrased). You also needed to reflect on what you did last term. You had a successful term where you learnt about techniques, use of paint, using and priming canvas, you discovered how to develop a painting over a longer period of time and you did some good research. Surely that is worth including instead of that first paragraph that doesn't really work as a welcome and to be frank sounds a little pompous!
ReplyDeleteI will see to this and mae it better, thanks
