He is one of the unique land artist, that makes use of synergy using raupo stems and tensegrity. Hes works are mostly spherical which could be seen as a new world in between. I would call this a sculptural portal.
In his millennium project, he celebrates the earths 2000 revolutions by using earth elements in each of his work, a unique method I considered creative and resourceful. This sculptural works were so iconic because they were located in wild beaches, volcanic vents and mountainsides. There the natural resources he used were located in each of this sites, a way of adding value to the EARTH by beautifying the areas with sculptural works.

Robert Longo

Robert Longo is an American painter and sculptor. An iconic artist, who makes charcoal seem like nothing. In his charcoal drawings he reveals an extraordinary graphical display. This is the true beauty of charcoal drawing.

  He grew up in Long Island, New York, where he graduated from his high school, it was at this time he must have improved in his works when he became more involved in political organizing.

It was then in 1972, Mr Longo was granted his wish of studying restoration and art history in Florence. He discovered his true relationship with art and he became what I would say an extraordinary charcoal artist, making using charcoal to make realistic artworks to inspire other artists.
